603 W Robinson – For Sale by Owner
Two weeks ago I got a call from a Bradway Properties client urging me to go check out an open house at a historic home in Carson City’s beautiful west side that she had seen in the Nevada Appeal. In case you missed it, you can read the story here. The owner bought the foreclosure at 603 W Robinson two years ago and has been restoring it to its original charm and is now offering the home for sale. Being a huge fan Carson City’s original architecture, I jumped in the car and went down to check it out.
As my daughter and I drove down W Robinson St towards N Phillips St, we both squealed as the house came into view. Tucked in among the old trees and situated on the west end of its corner lot, the little white-and-purple house stands like a storybook house with its ornate white fencing, a tower complete with a rock dungeon and castle door, and intricate front porch and window trim. Inside, the whimsical feeling continues with sweeping ceilings and bright, bold wallpapers. The original craftsmanship is still alive in the built-in woodwork and old stained glass windows.
The details were too many and too amazing to describe them all, so I asked the owner if I could come back to take some 360 photos. If you missed the open house and want to see inside this beautiful historic home, once the residence of Nevada Governor John E. Jones, check out the interactive 360 tour. Click the Google Cardboard button to watch with your virtual reality headset. Contact me and I would be happy to arrange showing you the property in person.
